The Story

Sir Kensington's is an American food company with headquarters in New York City that produces Non-GMO Project Verified condiments including ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, ranch dressing, and Fabanaise, a vegan mayonnaise made with aquafaba. The company was founded in 2008 by Mark Ramadan, Scott Norton, Brandon Child, and Win Bennett while they were students at Brown University.

The brand was born from a playful concept: a fictitious British aristocrat named Sir Kensington, created as a mascot to represent the company's quirky sensibility and commitment to quality. The founders launched their first product, a specialty ketchup, with less sugar and salt than standard brands and no high-fructose corn syrup. After three years of struggling to gain traction with ketchup alone, the team pivoted to mayonnaise and other condiments, which sparked the rapid growth that caught Unilever's attention.

On April 20, 2017, Unilever announced its acquisition of Sir Kensington's. The company remains independently led and managed as a wholly owned subsidiary, preserving its brand identity and product philosophy. Today, Sir Kensington's condiments are known for balancing the five tastes—savory, sweet, salty, sour, and bitter—using high-quality, pronounceable ingredients sourced with integrity.
