Snake River Seed Cooperative

Snake River Seed Cooperative is a collective of family farmers in the Intermountain West who work together to produce a wide diversity of regionally-adapted, open-pollinated seeds. Founded in 2013, the cooperative represents 33 small farms dedicated to preserving seed sovereignty and building community resilience through locally grown, high-quality seed stock.

Our seeds are grown in low-input fields and gardens across the Intermountain West, ensuring each variety is uniquely adapted to the region's challenging climate—hot summers, cold winters, and short growing seasons. We believe that seeds grown locally are stronger, more resilient, and better suited to help gardeners and farmers succeed in our distinctive environment.
