The Story

Twenty Five and Pine began in a Dayton, Ohio garage when Kristina and Nick Molinaro built a kids' table and chair set that worked for their whole family. The spark was simple: after their son arrived, they kept choosing between sitting on the floor or sending him to the playroom because existing kids' furniture was designed for one or the other. They wanted something their toddler could use independently but that was sturdy and neutral enough to stay in the living room.

The first piece was a low table and chair made from furniture-grade Baltic birch and recycled Ohio hardwoods. They weight-tested it for adults, added tool-free assembly with slots and dowels, and gave it a minimalist finish that highlighted the wood's natural grain. A friend visited, asked where they bought it, and when they said it was homemade, the first orders arrived. The initial batch of ten tables sold out in two weeks through Instagram DMs.

For years the Molinaros kept their day jobs and built on nights and weekends, gradually replacing cheap kids' furniture with pieces built to last. A TikTok video showing a wine-friendly side table went viral right before Christmas, and sales jumped so fast they outgrew their basement workshop. They moved into a commercial space and have since brought in roughly $600,000 in total revenue over five years while keeping the same ethos: simple, well-made hardwood furniture that helps parents and kids share the same space.
