Ben Forrest is the founder of Reserved for Humans, a DeLand, Florida studio creating light-up crystal jewelry. The company's flagship product, the Spire Pendant, illuminates natural crystal inclusions through an integrated LED system, combining material science with wearable art. Reserved for Humans was formally established as a Florida LLC on April 13, 2021, after years of development.
Forrest oversaw the product's engineering and manufacturing, managing production in China while maintaining final assembly and quality control in DeLand. After a soft launch in August 2025, the business generated its first revenue by December 2025 and is now evaluating outside capital to scale.
Before launching Reserved for Humans, Forrest authored Why You Should Write: Stories about storytelling, published in 2017 by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. The 122-page collection explores the craft and purpose of writing through personal narratives and reflections on storytelling.
Today, Forrest continues to lead Reserved for Humans from its DeLand studio, where a small team hand-assembles each Spire Pendant, balancing growth with the intimate, craftsmanship-driven ethos that defines the brand.
