Robert Zukowski is the President and Co-Founder of Custom Sleep Technology (CST), a company that creates biomechanically personalized sleep systems using patented Body Profile Technology. CST, originally founded in 2008 as Custom Sleep Design, is based in Newtown, Connecticut, where Zukowski has lived his entire life.
Before starting CST, Zukowski spent years as an executive at Talalay Global (formerly Latex International), gaining deep expertise in latex manufacturing and sleep technology. That experience gave him insight into the limitations of off-the-shelf mattresses and sparked the idea for a truly custom approach.
He co-founded Custom Sleep Technology with Bernie in 2008, building the business around the principle that proper spinal alignment and pressure relief require a mattress tailored to the individual's body mechanics. The company has remained focused on that core mission ever since.
Zukowski lives in Connecticut and remains actively involved in both the manufacturing and product development sides of the business.
