Genevieve Evans's Bio
Genevieve Evans is the founder and CEO of Go Sail Virgin Islands and Go Sail Flathead Lake, sailing schools dedicated to empowering women through sailing education. A USCG-licensed captain and Master American Sailing Instructor, she transitioned from corporate life to a career on the water.
Born and raised in Montana, Genevieve's love for sailing began at 16 when a neighbor invited her on a Hobie cat. After studying Business Management at Boise State University, she spent several years in corporate roles—a path that ultimately felt unfulfilling.
In 2012, she left the corporate world, bought her first boat, and founded Go Sail Virgin Islands. She later expanded to Go Sail Flathead Lake in Montana, creating year-round sailing opportunities. As an ASA Featured Instructor and international USCG Master 50-ton captain, she's become a respected voice in the sailing community.
Today, Genevieve splits her time between Montana summers and Caribbean winters, continuing to inspire students and advocate for greater representation of women on the water.
