Heather Sloan

Heather Sloan is the co-founder and CEO of Heali Medical, a health and wellness company that makes kinesiology tapes and recovery patches infused with natural ingredients like magnesium and menthol.

Before founding Heali, Sloan worked as a chiropractor, treating patients who relied on traditional kinesiology tape for joint support. She saw that athletes and active people had no effective way to combine pain relief with functional support—creams and lotions broke down tape adhesive. That gap stuck with her.

Sloan co-founded Heali Medical during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 alongside fellow healthcare entrepreneur Enwei Li. The pair developed HEALI Tape, an elastic kinesiology tape infused with magnesium and menthol. They launched in August 2021 and won an award at a virtual trade show within weeks, a win that opened the door to national retail. Heali Medical products are now in 26,000 store doors across North America, including CVS and Vitamin Shoppe.

By 2024, the company was tracking roughly $10 million in annual revenue. Sloan has appeared on multiple podcasts, including a 2024 call-in on How I Built This's Advice Line, where she discussed Heali's path from self-funded pre-seed to nationwide retail. She has also been featured on The Upside podcast and Women of Influence Canada.

Sloan leads Heali Medical from Concord, Ontario, Canada, focusing on expanding the product line and building the company's direct-to-consumer arm.
