Henry Davis

Henry Davis co-founded Tannin Oral Care, an oral care company creating products that eliminate barriers to conversation. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Davis launched Tannin in October 2024 with his roommate Joe Eiselt after a coffee walk sparked the idea for a post-coffee mouth rinse that neutralizes odor without sacrificing flavor.

Before Tannin, Davis worked as an documentary filmmaker, community builder. He taught yoga and stress management to over 2,500 high school students. His background informs Tannin's mission to connect people through authentic brand narratives.

Tannin was born from a insight that coffee brings people together but aftertaste pulls them apart. Davis and Eiselt created a rinse that lets coffee lovers enjoy their brew without sacrificing conversation. Since launching, Tannin has handed out 10,000+ samples, activated at 30+ local Charlotte events, and exhibited at two trade shows. Davis champions local-first growth, believing people connect with people—not products.

Beyond Tannin, Davis leads community programs including the Energizer Initiative and the Charlotte Redemptive Business Lab, both focused on building cross-racial relationships through deep personal connection.

Davis graduated from Tulane University with a finance background, where he was on the Dean's List and joined Startup Tulane and the Sophomore Finance Career Leadership Program. Fluent in English and Spanish, he bridges business and storytelling to scale Tannin's mission.
