Peter Rahal is the co-founder of RXBAR, the widely popular whole-food protein bar brand that disrupted the crowded snack market with its transparent, simple ingredient lists, and is currently building his next consumer venture, David Protein, a performance nutrition line focused on clean, accessible fuel for active lifestyles. He regularly shares hard-won insights on consumer brand building, product positioning, and scaling early-stage businesses, including as a featured guest on the How I Built This Advice Line, where he coaches emerging founders on navigating competitive market landscapes.

Before launching RXBAR, Rahal spent years working in corporate finance and operations, gaining hands-on experience with supply chain management, business scaling, and go-to-market strategy that would prove foundational to his later consumer products work. He developed a sharp eye for gaps in the market during this time, noticing that most mainstream protein bars were packed with processed additives, artificial sweeteners, and opaque ingredient lists that left consumers in the dark about what they were actually eating.

Rahal co-founded RXBAR in 2013 alongside his then-girlfriend, now wife, Maria, starting by mixing and packaging bars by hand in their Chicago basement.
