Mahak Mohan's Bio

Mahak Mohan is the co-founder and CEO of Kahani, a personalized digital companion for eating disorder recovery. Built at Stanford Graduate School of Business with clinical psychologists, Kahani applies evidence-based therapies in accessible, engaging formats to support users on their recovery journey.

Born in India and raised in Pakistan, Mahak began her undergraduate studies in Turkiye before eventually moving to Atlanta. That multinational path gave her a personal understanding of cultural barriers in health care. She started working at just 16, building an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age.

While pursuing her MBA at Stanford GSB, Mahak developed Kahani in response to a pressing need for supportive, scalable tools in eating disorder care. The app emerged from collaboration with mental health professionals, combining clinical rigor with user-friendly design. After graduating, she closed Kahani's pre-seed funding round and is now leading the launch of the platform's second version.

Today, Mahak continues to steer Kahani's mission: to bring the power of play and personalized companionship to mental health care. Based in New York, she remains deeply involved in product development and clinical partnerships as the company scales its impact.
