Yori
Yori founded RAT22Meets, a mission-driven company shipping grass-fed and grass-finished meats from small family farms. With 20 years of early-stage technology experience, Yori aims to bridge the gap between quality food and conscious consumers.
Yori's Bio
Yori is the founder and operator of RAT22Meets, a mission-driven company shipping grass-fed and grass-finished meats from small family farms directly to consumers. The company fills a gap Yori saw firsthand: conscious eaters wanting clean, traceable meat, but no clear way to know what they were actually getting.
Before founding RAT22Meets, Yori spent 20 years in early-stage technology companies across various roles. Eight of those years were managing U.S. operations at a medical device company, an experience that exposed the deep fractures in the American healthcare system and crystallized a desire to build something that genuinely helped people.
That combination of frustration and purpose led to RAT22Meets. The company works exclusively with small family farms and ships frozen boxes of meat with full traceability back to the farm where each animal was raised. Yori purchased a former McDonald's building in a farming community in Stanford, Connecticut, converted it into a distribution center, and plans to expand it into a public farm store to bring more local farmers to market.
Yori's philosophy is simple: let the product do the talking. Rather than outspend larger competitors on advertising, RAT22Meets focuses on building a community of customers who care about where their food comes from. Tony Xu's advice on the show — to find the people who care deeply and let them tell the story — aligns with exactly how Yori is approaching the business.
