Amanda Ballweg

Amanda Ballweg is the founder and owner of Woofsie and The Crazy Dog Mom, a healthy lifestyle boutique for dogs and their people based in Stoughton, Wisconsin. What began as a hobby Etsy shop in 2017 has grown into a destination known for single-ingredient dog treats, playful apparel, and community events that bring dog lovers together.

Before launching The Crazy Dog Mom, Ballweg channeled her passion for animals into honing her craft as a solo creator handling everything from product design to photography and social media. She bought a van, converted it with help from her brother-in-law, and launched Wisconsin's first dog-treat truck, selling treats, shirts, can coolers, and bandanas from the road. A year later, she sold the truck and opened her first permanent storefront.

The business moved to its current downtown Stoughton location at 161 W Main Street a year after that. In 2024, PETS+ Magazine named The Crazy Dog Mom America's Coolest Pet Store, recognizing its blend of humor, quality products, and personalized service. Ballweg's own dogs, Koa and Ryuk, a Siberian Husky mix rescued from a Denver shelter, remain at the heart of everything she builds.
