Caroline Buck
Caroline Buck is Co-Founder and CMO of Petaluma, a Certified B Corporation making plant-based, sustainable dog food. She launched the brand in 2019 with her husband Garrett Wymore after spotting a gap in eco-conscious pet nutrition.
Caroline Buck's Bio
Caroline Buck runs marketing and brand at Petaluma, a pet food company she started with her husband Garrett Wymore in 2019. Based in Oakland, they make plant-based, organic dog food and earned B Corp certification along the way.
Before Petaluma, Buck worked in marketing and operations, often as a fractional leader for consumer brands. She went to Dartmouth and spent years building campaigns and operations experience before turning her attention to pets.
The idea for Petaluma came from noticing that most sustainable pet food options were either hard to find or not nutritionally complete. Buck and Wymore set out to build something that worked for environmentally minded dog owners without cutting corners on quality.
Since launch, Petaluma has grown into one of the few B Corps in the pet category. Buck handles brand, product storytelling, and customer experience while Garrett leads the business side. They operate out of Oakland with their two rescue dogs, Leo and Oscar, who test every recipe.
