Carolyn Huresky

Carolyn Huresky is the founder of The Creative Garland Company, a Crested Butte, Colorado-based business that handcrafts decorative garlands inspired by the Rocky Mountains. Each piece reflects her love of nature and eye for detail, turning ordinary spaces into something more memorable with seasonal and themed designs.

Before starting the company, Huresky had never taken an art class. She began making garlands in Crested Butte as a creative outlet and quickly discovered a knack for it. When friends and neighbors started asking for pieces of their own, she realized there was a market for what she was making.

Huresky launched The Creative Garland Company in 2023 from her home in Crested Butte. She began selling at local markets before moving online, and the business grew from there. By 2024, the company was serving both retail and wholesale customers, and Huresky had built an international following on Instagram.

In 2025, 5280 Denver Magazine featured Huresky and her laser-cut paper garlands in a holiday story, putting the small Colorado business in front of a wider audience. The Creative Garland Company continues to operate out of Crested Butte, with a product line that spans holidays, seasons, and everyday decor.
