Christina Latraverse's Bio
Kristina Latraverse is the founder and creative force behind Seagrass Pottery, a coastal ceramic studio based in Indialantic, Florida. Her work centers on handmade ceramics inspired by the sea, paired with pottery classes, workshops, and a community studio open to makers of every level.
Before opening Seagrass Pottery, Kristina worked in visual arts education, including as a Visual Art and Theatre Content Specialist for the public schools. She also coordinated visual arts programs, building a long background in teaching art and making creative spaces accessible to more people.
In 2019, months before the pandemic, Kristina opened Seagrass Pottery with the goal of building a welcoming ceramic arts community on the Space Coast. The studio opened in a historic beach cottage in Indialantic, offering classes, community memberships, and workshops from the start.
By 2022, the studio had outgrown its original space, and Kristina expanded to a second 3,000-square-foot location in Palm Shores, adding pottery wheels, hand-building tables, and more class capacity. Today, Seagrass Pottery serves communities across Brevard County while staying rooted in its original mission: creativity, connection, and the joy of making things by hand.
