Katharine Perry's Bio
Katharine Perry is the co-founder of Adaptt Apparel, a Canadian adaptive clothing company based in Williamstown that designs functional and accessible fashion for people with mobility and cognitive challenges. Founded in 2022, the brand was born from Perry's personal experience caregiving for her parents through dementia and mobility decline, which taught her how clothing can either support or limit someone's relationship with their body.
Before Adaptt Apparel, Perry spent over a decade as an entrepreneur and also founded KPFit, a fitness venture driven by her belief in building strong bodies and stronger minds. Her dual experience in health and apparel shaped her inclusive design philosophy.
Perry launched Adaptt Apparel alongside co-founder William Lecky from Cornwall, Ontario. The company quickly gained recognition for changing the adaptive clothing industry by prioritising both function and style—addressing a market traditional fashion has long overlooked. Their work has been featured in CBC's Dragons' Den, the Toronto Guardian, and Made in CA, where Perry discussed redefining inclusivity in apparel.
Today, Adaptt Apparel continues expanding its product lines while maintaining its core mission: creating clothing that empowers people regardless of mobility needs. Perry remains active in both businesses, balancing product development with advocacy for adaptive fashion standards across the industry.
