Kimber Crandall's Bio

Kimber Crandall is the co-founder of Pearl Pop, a company that makes soft, chewy toothpaste pearls designed to make brushing fun for kids. Before launching Pearl Pop, she was an Emmy-winning television reporter, covering news in Utah before the pivot to entrepreneurship.

In 2020, Kimber became a single mom to four young girls, ages one through seven, and decided it was time to build something of her own. She applied to the BYU Executive MBA program and, together with co-founder Bryson Barney, developed Pearl Pop as a class project in an entrepreneurship course. Their research focused on parents and the bedtime routine — specifically, the nightly struggle of getting kids to brush their teeth.

The product they created is a fluoride-free, sulfate-free toothpaste pearl that looks and feels like a gummy candy. Kids chew it, brush with it, and spit — no foam, no mess, and no fights. Kimber hand-poured the first bottles herself. The company sells direct to consumers through its website and has since expanded into small retail partners. When parents started using the kids' product themselves, Pearl Pop launched an adult line, Mint Kiss.

Under Kimber's leadership, Pearl Pop has partnered with pediatric dentists to validate the science and grow through word-of-mouth. Kimber also founded Inspiro Tequila LLC and holds WBENC certification as a women-owned business. She appeared on the How I Built This Advice Line in early 2026, sharing the Pearl Pop story and asking fellow founders how to build a movement around a new category of product.
