Lauren Befus's Bio
Lauren Befus is the founder and CEO of Memory Lane Jane, a company that creates heirloom-quality biographies and life-story books for families and individuals.
Before founding Memory Lane Jane, Lauren built a background in writing, editing, interviewing, and public speaking. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Journalism and English from Calvin College, and turned that experience into a career telling people's stories.
The business started from a personal moment: in 2010, her husband's grandfather sparked the idea that family stories should be preserved. Lauren launched Memory Lane Jane to turn that belief into a service, helping people record and format their life stories before they are lost.
Under her leadership, Memory Lane Jane has grown from a solo effort into a national life story writing company. The company partners with individuals and families to produce bespoke memoir and biography books that combine personal narratives, family history, photos, and heirlooms.
