Ruchi Gupta's Bio
Ruchi Gupta, MD, MPH, holds two professional identities that feed into each other: she is a Professor of Pediatrics & Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Founding Director of the university’s Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research (CFAAR), and the founder and CEO of Yobee Care. No one saw it coming.
It started at home. Her young daughter developed persistent scalp irritation that no over-the-counter children’s product could soothe without harsh side effects.
A board-certified pediatrician with a Master of Public Health, Gupta formulated a line of scalp and skin care products rooted in microbiome science, targeting common conditions like dandruff, eczema, and psoriasis with clinically proven, gentle formulas that avoid the harsh active ingredients common in over-the-counter alternatives. She launched Yobee as a physician-led alternative to mislabeled, irritant-heavy kids’ personal care products, a gap she first noticed as a parent and a practicing clinician.
