Sasha Millstein's Bio
Sasha Millstein is the founder and CEO of Aunt Ethel's Pot Pies, a Brooklyn-based frozen food company reinventing the classic comfort dish with a smarter, cleaner approach.
Before founding Aunt Ethel's, Sasha worked in finance, surrounded herself with entrepreneurs, and absorbed the business lessons that would later shape her own venture. The spark for the company came from a conversation with her aunt, a caterer who had spent over 30 years perfecting secret pot pie recipes for a small circle of local clients. Sasha saw an opportunity to bring those recipes to a wider audience and founded Aunt Ethel's Pot Pies in 2020.
The company's signature innovation is separating the flaky puff pastry crust from the filling at the point of sale, eliminating the soggy-bottom problem that plagues most frozen pot pies. The business got off to a slow start, but demand picked up significantly and orders began pouring in.
Sasha's work has caught the attention of programs like Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, and she appeared on QVC's Gourmet Holiday Show, presenting Aunt Ethel's pot pies to a national audience.
