Scott Tannen's Bio
Scott Tannen is the co-founder and CEO of Boll & Branch, the luxury organic bedding brand he launched in 2014 with his wife Missy. Together, they disrupted the 5 billion bedding industry by creating the first fully certified organic cotton sheet set sold directly to consumers, eliminating the traditional wholesale markup and passing savings onto customers.
Before founding Boll & Branch, Tannen spent 15 years in the consumer products industry, including executive roles at Playtex and Earth's Best. He developed a deep understanding of supply chains, product quality, and brand building, which he applied to create a vertically integrated business that controls every step from cotton sourcing to final delivery.
Under Tannen's leadership, Boll & Branch grew from a direct-to-consumer startup into a category-defining brand with over 200 employees and retail partnerships with Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and QVC. The company has remained bootstrapped and profitable while maintaining its commitment to fair trade practices, sustainable materials, and transparent pricing.
