Tara Parkinson

Tara Parkinson is the Co-Founder of Dry Dolly, a UK-based brand reinventing towel apparel with its signature towel dress for hotels, spas, cruise lines, and everyday wear. The brand launched in 2023 with a single idea: replace the bulky, awkward towel or robe with something that dries well, looks good, and feels comfortable.

Tara co-founded Dry Dolly with Rachael Alpha after growing frustrated by the lack of stylish, practical options between stepping out of the shower and getting dressed. The Dry Dolly Dress, cut from premium luxury terry towelling with built-in bust support and real pockets, found its audience fast. Today the line includes multiple dress lengths and a full collection of drying apparel made in Turkey.

Before launching Dry Dolly, Tara worked in social care alongside Rachael and Karen Alpha in Eastleigh, UK. That background shaped the brand's emphasis on comfort, dignity, and everyday practicality.

Dry Dolly shot to national attention after Tara sent a one-minute voice note to the How I Built This team in October 2024. Six months later she appeared on the show with Guy Raz. The brand has since been featured in 53 UK luxury magazines including Tatler and was a New Business Excellence Awards finalist in 2026. Dry Dolly now operates across the UK and UAE.
