Tess Milholland's Bio
Tess Millhollon is the founder and CEO of HerHouse, an app-based community that connects solo women travelers with safe, vetted accommodations around the world. HerHouse allows women to host each other for free, creating a global network of trust and adventure.
Born and raised in Colorado's rodeo world, Tess spent years backpacking through Australia alone-a season she describes as deeply healing and confidence-building. That solo travel experience planted the seed for HerHouse. She wanted more women to discover the same independence and growth through travel, but without the fear.
She bootstrapped the entire startup without outside funding, building the no-code app herself and growing the community organically. Today HerHouse operates worldwide, helping thousands of women travel safer and cheaper.
Tess is also the author of the solo travel memoir *Sherbet Skies: A Woman's Solo Journey to Find Adventure, Fun, and God*, which chronicles her own path from small-town Colorado to international adventurer. She continues to expand HerHouse while speaking about women's safety, solo travel, and entrepreneurship.
