Flipmits

Flipmits was created by Matt Angorn, a Scottsdale-based entrepreneur who discovered a deceptively simple problem during regular trail runs: conventional running gloves either trapped sweat during hard efforts or left fingers dangerously cold once the workout ended. Existing convertible mittens were bulky, slow to operate, and rarely built with athletic fabric in mind. Angorn spent months prototyping what would become the FLIPMITS 3-in-1 system.

The FLIPMITS glove converts between three configurations in seconds. As fingerless gloves, they offer dexterity and ventilation for high-output efforts. Flipping the pocketed mitten flap locks warmth in for cold-weather runs and hikes. The same flap doubles as a sweatband when pulled over the back of the hand, eliminating the need for a separate wrist accessory. The fabric is softer and more comfortable than traditional glove liners, which is why customers consistently cite comfort as the standout feature.

Flipmits, LLC was registered in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 2023, building on a USPTO trademark Angorn filed in December 2022 and first commercial use dating to mid-2020. The Original army-green colorway launched first, followed by the Bluebeard navy and HWConcrete gray editions. Flipmits is sold directly through flipmits.com and select outdoor specialty retailers, with a small but loyal customer base of runners, hikers, and trainers who value a single versatile handwear solution.
