Matt Angorn is the founder of FlipMitts, a 3-in-1 convertible glove brand designed for runners, hikers, and outdoor athletes. His invention was born from frustration: cold hands during New Jersey trail runs made him wish for a glove that could adapt to changing temperatures and activity levels.
Before FlipMitts, Angorn built a career in brand strategy and digital merchandising, including a stint as VP & General Manager of the consumer team at AXON (formerly TASER International) in 2020. That corporate experience gave him the tools to reimagine consumer products and drive growth through brand transformation.
FlipMitts officially launched in 2020 and filed its trademark in December 2022, incorporating as FlipMitts LLC in January 2023. The brand sells direct-to-consumer through its website, Amazon, and QVC, with the gloves praised by runners managing Raynaud's syndrome and outdoor enthusiasts. Angorn continues to expand the line with new colors and the Hyper-Lite sun glove variant.
