The Story
Transparent Hospitality is the parent company of Perenn Bakery, Claio Rotisserie, and Perenn Grocery, a family-owned hospitality group that brings craft and artisanship to Reno, Nevada and Nashville, Tennessee. Founded as Butter + Salt in 2013 by chefs Aubrey and Tyler O'Laskey, the company began as a private chef and catering service before evolving into a multi-concept food group known for sourdough, rotisserie cuisine, and curated market products.
The O'Laskey's vision grew from a single 800-square-foot bakery in Reno's Midtown district into a regional operation spanning multiple Nevada and Tennessee locations. Perenn Bakery has become a local staple for handmade croissants, naturally leavened sourdough, and seasonal pastries, while Claio Rotisserie offers European-style rotisserie chicken and bistro fare. The addition of Perenn Grocery rounds out the group with a neighborhood market concept.
Under Transparent Hospitality, the brands share a commitment to local ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, and community gathering spaces. The company's expansion into Franklin, Tennessee in 2025 marked its first move outside Nevada, bringing its daily ritual of craft bread and rotisserie to a new state.
