Lucy Dana's Bio
Lucy Dana is the CEO and Co-Founder of One Trick Pony, a peanut butter brand built around a simple idea: use the best ingredients and nothing else. The company makes peanut butter with Argentinian peanuts and Patagonian salt, no oil and no sugar, from a family-run and female-founded operation.
Dana grew up in Washington, DC and went to Duke University, where she studied from 2009 to 2013. After graduating, she worked in Operations at Uber and later served as Chief of Staff at Blue Bottle Coffee. Those roles gave her a front-row seat to how consumer brands build supply chains and win over retailers.
She founded One Trick Pony in 2022 with her brother Andrew and sister-in-law Dani, who also owns Call Your Mother Deli in DC. The idea came together after a trip to Argentina, where the three of them tried the local peanuts and agreed they were the best they had ever tasted. Dani's experience running Call Your Mother Deli helped with retail strategy as they began placing their product in stores.
By late 2024, One Trick Pony was celebrating its second year in business, still making the same single-ingredient peanut butter, still family-run, still working to get it in front of more customers across the country.
