Macy Schmitt's Bio
Macy Schmitt is the co-founder and CEO of Girlyish Skincare, a Provo-based brand making youth-safe skincare for teens and tweens.
Schmitt graduated from Brigham Young University's Entrepreneurial Management program. She and her sister Madison Egli started Girlyish Skincare at the beginning of 2024, just as Schmitt was finishing her degree. The idea came from watching TikTok videos of 12-year-olds heading to Sephora with products formulated for adult skin. She realized the teen aisle was full of harsh ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, retinols, and synthetic fragrances — stuff young skin has no business using.
Girlyish Skincare launched with products stripped of those irritants, focused on what developing skin actually needs. The brand resonated quickly with parents looking for safer alternatives to the aggressive routines trending online.
Schmitt and Egli run the company together from Provo, Utah. The sisters handle product development, content, and brand direction. Schmitt has built a following on Instagram sharing manufacturing tips and skincare education for young consumers.
