Alongside his sisters Salma and Sahba Fotovat, Nima launched MadeGood in 2014 after the siblings' earlier family food business was sold in 2012. The Fotovats borrowed against their homes to build a small factory and launch an organic granola bar aimed at the allergy-friendly market.

Under Nima's leadership, MadeGood expanded from local Canadian markets into major U.S. retailers and became a certified B Corporation. He has been featured in Forbes and Entrepreneur for building the brand while keeping manufacturing largely in-house. Today, MadeGood products are sold at chains including Costco, Target, and Whole Foods Market across North America.
